Kera in practice.
If our other pages explain what we do and why, this one is the detail underneath: what you'd actually come to us for, what's included in each area, and what sits outside it.
It's organised the same way as everything else, across Maintain, Perform, Transform, and Advise, and each section links back to the overview if you want the bigger picture.
What you'd actually come to us for
Some of what lands in the portal on any given week:
“I need this changed, but everything has to go through IT.”
The most common frustration we hear. A spec update, a new page, a swapped image, work that should take an afternoon but sits in a queue for weeks. You send it to us, and it gets done, without adding to the load on your internal teams.
“We need a landing page up for a campaign.”
Built to your existing templates, live on staging for you to check, and up in time for your deadline.
“Can you add these new products?”
Product and content updates, one-off or in bulk, done properly and checked.
“The homepage copy needs updating.”
Content and copy changes, images swapped, wording adjusted, turned around without you having to chase it.
“Something's broken, or the site's down.”
Flagged, triaged, and fixed as a priority. Often we've already spotted it before you flag it.
What's included
Everything below is covered by a flat monthly rate, no surprises, no per-change billing.
Day to day, that looks like:
- Content and copy changes, new pages, image swaps and resizing
- Product and catalogue updates, including bulk changes
- Template and layout adjustments
- Landing pages built to your existing design
(That's the common stuff, not an exhaustive list, if it's routine site work, it's covered.)
Health and security:
- Security updates kept on top of, on a schedule, and faster when something urgent lands
- Vulnerability monitoring
- Off-site backups, with restores actually tested
- Uptime monitoring and alerting
- SSL and certificate management
Standards and access:
- A staging environment, so nothing risky touches your live site
- A full audit when we take the site on, and ongoing monitoring so issues surface early
- User access managed and kept current, with named accounts and the right permissions
- Your requests logged and tracked through your portal, start to finish
Hosting and email, if you want it:
- We can host your site, or work with your existing host
- Verified backups and a clear split of responsibilities either way
- Website-sent email (order confirmations, enquiry notifications) set up so it actually arrives
We work with your business and your existing technology to make all of this seamless, rather than forcing you to work around us.
What's a project, not day-to-day
Bigger work is scoped separately, so your monthly management stays predictable:
- Rebuilds, new functionality, integrations, and e-commerce → that's Transform
- Artwork and design assets aren't us (we'll resize an image, not create one), though we know people who do it well
- Content is best written by you, since you know your products and industry better than anyone, though we can help shape and edit it where it makes sense
- General IT, networks, and devices aren't us, though we can point you to people who do it well
What you'd actually come to us for
“How do I get more out of the traffic I already have?”
We find where people arrive, where they drop off, and what's stopping them getting in touch, then fix the leaks before spending a cent on more visitors.
“Are we even measuring the right things?”
Most sites aren't. We set up tracking properly so the numbers you're looking at are real.
“Our enquiry form, does it actually work?”
We check the whole path, from someone filling it in to the email landing in an inbox, because a silently broken form is the most expensive fault on a site.
“We want to show up when people search for what we make.”
Ongoing work on your search visibility, so the right buyers find you.
“How do we get more of the right people to the site?”
Once the site is converting, we help bring more of the right visitors to it, through search and, where it pays, paid advertising.
“Should we be running Google Ads?”
If it's worth it, we manage them for you, tied to real enquiries rather than clicks (you fund the ad spend, we manage it for a flat fee). If it isn't, we'll tell you.
What's included
Measurement and reporting:
- Analytics set up properly (GA4 and tag management), so the numbers mean something
- Tracking for the things that matter: enquiry forms, phone clicks, and the actions that lead to business
- Search Console set up and monitored
- Ongoing site-health checks: broken links and 404s, redirects, crawl issues and domain authority, watched over time rather than found by accident
- Monthly reporting that ties activity to real enquiries, not vanity numbers
Search visibility (SEO):
- The technical side of being found: how your site is indexed, structured, and understood by search engines
- Rank tracking against the terms that matter to you, with a benchmark set at the start
- A view of how you're doing against competitors you choose
- Your Google Business Profile and local presence kept accurate, so you show up properly when people search nearby
- Recommendations on content and structure, prioritised by impact
Conversion:
- Finding where visitors drop off, and why
- Form and enquiry-path improvements
- Landing-page recommendations, so the traffic you drive lands somewhere that actually converts
- Practical, evidence-led changes, delivered through your Maintain plan or scoped as a project
Paid advertising (where it's worth it):
- Google Ads and paid search management, built around how your business is organised
- The ongoing work that makes it pay: keyword and negative-keyword management, search-term review, and ad copy tuned to perform
- Spend tied to tracked enquiries, with a flat management fee, never a cut of your spend
We tell you what's worth doing and why. Your team decides what happens next.
Available as an add-on
Call tracking, so phone enquiries are measured the same way form enquiries are. It uses a third-party service, added on top of your plan.
What's a project, not day-to-day
- Getting the measurement foundation right, if your current setup needs a full rebuild, is a one-off piece of work up front
- We measure what happens on the website, up to the enquiry. Connecting that to what happens next in your CRM (which enquiries became sales) is possible as a separate integration, but it isn't part of standard reporting. Without it, we report what's tracked on the site, not close rates we can't see
- Content is best written by you, since you know your products and industry best, though we can help shape and edit it and we'll always tell you exactly what's needed and why
- Brand, creative, and campaign strategy aren't us, we handle the measurable performance layer, not the marketing department
What you'd actually come to us for
“Our site can't do what the business needs anymore.”
A rebuild or replatform, planned around how the business actually runs, not just how the site looks.
“Our trade customers should be able to order online.”
An ordering portal with account-based pricing, the way industrial and trade buyers actually purchase.
“Our systems don't talk to each other.”
Connecting your website to the systems behind it, so data stops being re-keyed by hand.
“Orders should flow straight into our ERP.”
Integration at the boundary between your website, your commerce and your business systems.
“We're doing too much by hand.”
Automating the manual, repetitive work between systems, re-keying, reconciling, chasing, so your team gets the time back and the errors go away.
“We need a tool that just doesn't exist.”
Custom-built to fit the way your business works, rather than forcing you into someone else's software.
What's included
Every project starts with understanding what it means across the business, before anyone builds anything.
Builds and replatforms:
- New websites and rebuilds
- Migrations from ageing or unsupported platforms, with search visibility preserved
- Trade and B2B e-commerce, including account pricing, part numbers, and spare-parts journeys
Integrations and systems:
- Connecting your website to the systems you already run
- Orders, customers, pricing, and stock flowing between systems instead of by hand
- Read-only data brought onto the site (account history, pricing, statements) where it helps
- Logging and monitoring, so a broken sync is caught before your customers notice
Custom development:
- Tools and applications built around your processes
- Automation that removes manual, repetitive work
- Portals and account areas
Anything we build can be looked after in alignment with your Maintain coverage, so it keeps working long after it goes live. This may incur an additional ongoing cost for that maintenance, which we agree with you as part of the project.
How projects work
Every project runs through the same clear steps, so there are no surprises:
A paid first step that produces clear, documented requirements, useful even if you took them elsewhere
The detail worked out up front: what's being built, how it fits the business, and what we'll need from you along the way
The build itself, against the plan, with a defined number of review rounds so scope stays under control
Checked properly before it goes anywhere near your customers
Your team shown how to use what we've built
Moved live carefully, documented, and handed over cleanly
Kept working afterwards under your Maintain services, if you'd like
What's a project, not day-to-day
- ERP implementation itself isn't us, we work at the boundary between your website and the systems around it
- We'll map the operational impact (how an order reaches your warehouse and out the door) but the downstream operations stay yours to run
What you'd actually come to us for
“We're choosing a new system, which way should we go?”
A view grounded in how your business actually works, not a vendor's pitch.
“This process is costing us, how should it really work?”
Operational and delivery process reviewed by someone who's seen how the whole thing fits together.
“Are the right controls in place?”
Governance and risk checks across the digital and systems side of the business, who can do what, where the exposure is, what needs tightening.
“What should we be doing that we're not?”
Spotting the opportunities and improvements that are easy to miss from the inside.
“Where should we focus first?”
Prioritising the changes that will make the biggest difference, and in what order.
How it works
Advise isn't a service you buy off the shelf.
With our experience working across your site, your systems, and your operations, the advice is grounded in how your business really runs, and the people in it, rather than a template. That's the difference between a consultant starting cold and a partner who already knows the ground.
When the questions come up, we're the people already close enough to help.
Not sure which of these fits what you're dealing with? That's fine. Tell us what's on your plate, and we'll point you to the right place to start.
